Julie McKee is Executive Vice President and General Counsel with FBD Consulting, Inc. Julie has 15 years of legal experience as a prior Equity Partner with the law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker, LLP where she led the firm’s creation of a Human Resources Consulting Practice, initiating the utilization of a wide array of pro-active human resources services for its clients. Throughout her legal career, Julie’s practice has focused primarily on proactive, preventative human resources services for business clients including HR audits, providing employee and management training, drafting of employment policies and agreements, and providing legal advice on regulatory compliance issues, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, IRCA, USERRA and WARN. Julie is a frequent public speaker on employment related topics for professional associations, corporations and HR organizations. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Kansas where she graduated with distinction with double major in Personnel Administration and Communications. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree from the Washburn University School of Law and graduated with honors. Julie is a member of the American Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. She actively serves on the Heartland Labor and employment Law Institute Committee and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
